Flower planting

This past week we planted over 4000 plants at the Visitors Center, Far West, Richmond Cemetary, and Liberty Jail Visitors Center.   It took long days of planting but it sure looks nice.  Now our assignment will be to go back every other day to water them,  because our lead guy,Mark does not like sprinkler systems.  Sprinklers don't water the right amount of water for the flowers, so he likes them hand watered.

visit to train station and museum

We went to an old train station and learned all about the trains that came through the Independence station. It was relocated and restored as it was years ago. It had all kinds of train artifacts that they have gathered and placed in it. We learned that the upper floor was the home for the station master and family.

Next to the train station was a  pioneer museum so we went to see what they had for us to look at. It was very interesting to see all the pioneer tails across the country.

One day we went to Haun's Mill area to mow the grass there. The Church has purchased it in the last year. Now we will be going to it to keep it looking nice. For now they want it to be a place people can come with an area to park and look around. At this point there isn't much to see, just a couple of markers,

I drive the green John Deere tractor with the black seat and Dad drives the shorter one with the yellow seat.

KC Temple

Today we worked at the Kansas City Temple.  We were triming the bushes around the temple.  It was very very cold and windy.
 Tomorrow we are delivering
new TV's to the buildings.

Home

For now this is where we are living.  It is a condo bought by a member for her parents to live in when they come on their mission.  We don't have a permanent place until another couple go home in about a month.  Then we will move again.
I am standing in the dark, ours is on the
bottom right corner.  It is a one bedroom, one bath, living room and kitchen.

MTC

Our district at the MTC.

After finishing a week at the MTC  we have traveled on to Cami's.  We are enjoying our stay here with them and it looks like we will stay an extra day because of bad weather.
